The app for every kind of event
Show up. It counts.
Movvent is one app for every kind of event in Kuwait. Find one near you, join in a tap and check in when you get there. Taking part earns you coins to use in the Market.
The Movvent iPhone app is launching on the App Store. The first version is for iPhone only.
Every kind of event
If it has a time and a place, it can be a Movvent event.
Organisations post their events on Movvent, and you pick what suits you. Before you join, you know the time, the place, who is organising and how many places are left.
- Community days and volunteering
- Beach and park clean-ups
- Sport
- Workshops and classes
- Culture and the arts
- Campus and school events
These are examples. The events you see in the app are the ones organisations actually post.
How it works
From your phone to the place, in four steps.
Find an event
Events near you, with the time, the place on the map, who is organising and how many places are left.
Join in a tap
Tap “Join event”. If it’s full, join the waitlist: when a place frees up, it goes to the next person in line.
Check in on site
Check-in opens 30 minutes before the start. You check in from inside the event area with a selfie from the app’s camera, and the organiser confirms you were there.
Coins come your way
Once your attendance is confirmed, coins come your way to use in the Market, on products from partner organisations.
Initiatives by video
Take part by video, in your own time.
Some ways to take part need no time or place. Record a short video in the app or upload one from your phone, and it carries the initiative’s filter with the names of the sponsors who support it.
Record or upload
Use the app’s camera or pick a video from your phone. Either way, the filter goes on the video.
Reviewed before it shows
The Movvent team and the organiser review it. Once approved, it shows on the initiative’s page with your name, and coins come your way.
Share it for more
Share the approved video to TikTok, Instagram or Snapchat, and more coins come your way once the post is verified.
Coins and the Market
Coins are our thank‑you for taking part.
Coins come your way for every part you play that is verified, and you use them in the Market on products from partner organisations.
- A confirmed check-in
- An approved video
- A vote on a video
- A verified share
Coins have no cash value: they can’t be bought or cashed out.
Check-in
Your attendance is verified, and your privacy kept.
A check-in is accepted only from inside the event area, and the organiser reviews attendance before confirming it.
- Location
- Your location is verified on the server, not on your phone.
- Selfie
- A selfie on arrival, for verification only.
- Privacy
- The photo is never published or shown on your profile; only the people who review attendance for that event can open it.
The details are in the privacy notice.

Events on Movvent
Events published by organisations appear here, with their date, place and places left.
Events marked “Demo” are examples used to test the app, not invitations to take part.
Turn on JavaScript to see the events, or sign up and we’ll tell you when the app is out.
Keep me postedFor organisers
Post your event once, and run it from one place.
Approved organisations post events in the app, see who joined and who checked in, message everyone taking part, and review check-ins and videos with their helpers.
For sponsors and partners
Back the events people actually show up to.
Your organisation can support an event or an initiative: your name shows on its page, and on the filter of every approved video from it. Partner organisations can also offer products in the Market.
